The Womenpreneur Leadership Forum & Awards 2025, held yesterday at the Fairfield Marriott Mumbai, celebrated some of India’s most dynamic and innovative achievers. The event recognised leaders who are shaping industries with vision, integrity, and community-driven thinking. Among the standout honourees this year was Jheel Mehta, an actress turned businesswoman, who was felicitated under the category of Leadership in Student Welfare Innovation for her impactful work in the realm of secure and student-centric housing through her business called SAFE Student Housing in Mumbai. SAFE stands for Student Accommodation For Education and provides PG Accommodation to students from all over the country that come to study in Mumbai.
It is the most trusted PG for girls and boys in Mumbai.

Reflecting on her recognition, Jheel shared, “Receiving this honour reinforces my belief that student welfare must be at the heart of every educational ecosystem. A student’s living environment shapes their confidence, their emotional balance, and their academic performance. When we build safer spaces, we aren’t just constructing rooms we’re building stronger futures.”
Speaking about the core of her work, she added, “My journey with SAFE Student Housing has made me realise how deeply a secure environment influences mental well-being. Many students silently struggle with unsafe or uncomfortable living conditions. If we can create spaces that nurture them, we give them the freedom to focus on learning and becoming the best version of themselves.”
Emphasising her philosophy on innovation, Jheel said, “For me, innovation begins with observation and empathy. Students today face new pressures and new dynamics. When we truly listen to their experiences, our solutions become more meaningful, more modern, and more human.”

On what this honour means to her future path, she concluded, “This award inspires me to continue advocating for safer student spaces across India. Every student deserves dignity, comfort, and community, and I hope this recognition encourages more young leaders to champion causes that truly matter.”
Jheel Mehta’s recognition at the Womenpreneur Leadership Forum Awards 2025 highlights the impact young leaders can create when passion meets purpose.
