The historic Four Bungalows Gurudwara Sahib in Andheri West, Mumbai — a beacon of faith, unity, and selfless service — is set to celebrate Guru Nanak Jayanti with deep devotion and grandeur.

Founded on 13th April 1967 by Sardar Singh Suri Ji, who served as President for 45 years, the Gurudwara has evolved into one of Mumbai’s most revered Sikh institutions. His son, Sardar Jaspal Singh Suri, has been serving as President for the past decade, while his grandson, Maninder Singh Suri, now oversees daily operations and community welfare initiatives.

Every year, over one lakh devotees visit during Guru Nanak Jayanti, making it one of the city’s most visited Sikh shrines. The Gurudwara is unique for serving Langar twice daily, 365 days a year, feeding more than 2,000 people daily — and over 5,000 on Sundays. This Guru Nanak Jayanti (5th November), an estimated 70,000 devotees are expected to partake in Langar and Prasad.

The celebrations commenced with Prabhat Pheris from 24th October to 1st November, followed by a grand Nagar Kirtan on 2nd November at 6 PM, beginning from Lokhandwala Back Road and culminating at the Gurudwara. The Akhand Path (continuous recitation of Guru Granth Sahib) will begin on 3rd November morning and conclude on 5th November, the day of Guru Nanak Jayanti.

Extending its spirit of Seva (selfless service) beyond Mumbai, the Gurudwara has adopted three flood-affected villages in Punjab, providing essential aid such as seeds, diesel, and marriage assistance to families in need.

Over the years, some of the world’s most renowned Kirtaniyas have performed at the Gurudwara, enriching the spiritual experience of thousands of devotees.

The management warmly invites everyone to join the celebrations, experience the divine Kirtan and Langar, and support the Gurudwara’s ongoing social welfare and community service initiatives.
