Actress Sonali Kulkarni has issued an apology after her comments at an event drew flak online. Kulkarni, while speaking at the event, said, “Women are lazy” and went on to give examples of how, according to her, they need a husband or boyfriend who will fulfill their wishes. This comment has caused controversy and has drawn criticism from many social media users.

Kulkarni, who is a well-known actress in the Indian film industry, made the comment while speaking at an event. She said, “In India a lot of women are just lazy. They want a boyfriend or husband, who has a very good job, owns a house, and has assurance of getting regular increments. But, in the middle of this, women forget to make a stand for themselves. Women don’t know what will they do.”

Her comment has been widely criticized on social media, with many people calling it sexist and offensive. Many women have shared their stories of working hard and being independent, and they have expressed their disappointment with Kulkarni’s comments.

In her statement, Kulkarni said that she did not intend to hurt other women with her comments. She said that she has always expressed her support for women and their empowerment.

Kulkarni said, “Being a woman myself, my intention was not to hurt other women. In fact, I have extensively expressed myself time and again in support of us and what is it being a woman. I’m grateful to all of you for reaching out to me personally to appreciate or to criticize. Hope we will be able to have more open exchange of thoughts.”

She went on to apologize for any pain she may have caused with her comments. She said that she does not want to be the center of sensational situations and that she is a diehard optimist who believes that life is beautiful. She thanked her supporters for their patience and understanding and said that she has learned a lot from this incident.
