Mumbai: Indian actress and producer Iti Acharya returned to the Cannes Film Festival this year with a new slate of film projects, continuing her growing journey as a producer and actor on the global stage. After first stepping into film production at Cannes in 2022, Iti has now brought three additional films that she is producing and co-producing to the international film festival.
Among the projects unveiled by the actress-producer is Triya, a mystical drama centred around a woman torn between duty and desire. Iti will not only headline the film but also produce it, describing the project as a “labour of love” that she has been developing over the past few years. She called Triya one of the most ambitious stories of her career so far.
The actress also introduced a ready-to-release Hindi feature film titled The Shoes I Wore, starring acclaimed Indian actor Innamul Haq and produced under the IQ Cinematics banner. Another project includes the Tamil poetic piece From All Men Around The World, backed by indie collective 3 AM Cigaz.
