Darshan shares that the role of Randheer Sharma offers a refreshing change and promises many unexpected twists, turns, and dramatic moments in the show. He was eager to embark on something distinct, and seizing this opportunity seemed like a perfect choice. Randheer Sharma is a lawyer who rivals Ashok but eventually helps Yashoda during Ashok’s disappearance and her difficult phase. Randheer aims to impress Yashoda with his kindness, while harboring a complex and multi-layered personality. Darshan was thrilled and excited to take on this character as it allowed him to explore the depths of Randheer’s incredibly layered persona. He also expresses his intrigue for the show’s storyline, having been a dedicated viewer since its inception.
- How does shooting for a show in your city provide you with a sense of comfort or familiarity? Darshan considers being a part of Doosri Maa and shooting in his hometown, Jaipur, as an absolute blessing. It is the first time he has had the opportunity to film in his own city, ensuring that his parents are not left alone. Shooting in one’s city provides an undeniable sense of comfort and familiarity. The sheer joy of being part of this production is amplified by its connection to his beloved hometown. Knowing that he no longer has to dine alone and that someone eagerly awaits his return home brings him immense happiness. Darshan is grateful for this opportunity, and his parents are equally delighted, often accompanying him to the set to spend quality time together. This level of comfort is cherished by any actor, particularly those who are not from Mumbai. He considers himself truly fortunate to have had such a wonderful experience.

He shares an example of playing a mature and masculine police officer in the web series Scoop, for which he intentionally gained 16 kg of weight. Darshan believes that appearance holds considerable sway over the audience’s perception even before any dialogue is delivered.
