HYDERABAD, India— November 6, 2026 — Twenty players walke d into Lalitha Mahal believing they could see through any lie. Weeks of murders, blackmail, wrong theories, and brutal Rings of Doubt later, the first season of Prime Video’s The Traitors Telugu came to a close with a rather unexpected outcome. Two players who entered the palace as Innocents ended up pulling off the game’s biggest deception. Shravya Varma and Sweekar Agasthi outplayed their fellow contestants in the final stretch to emerge as the winners of The Traitors Telugu, taking home the prize pot of ₹42,77,000.
Sweekar’s story began as an Innocent, until he was recruited as a Traitor by Rahat and Ashika. He spent the rest of the game hiding in plain sight, even as Dhanunjaya kept pointing at him. Shravya’s journey was just as unlikely. A blackmail invite pulled her into the Traitors’ fold, and the strain of the role showed. For Shravya, who had spent much of the game identifying and exposing Traitors, switching sides meant keeping up a completely different act. The emotional toll was evident. “To play as a Traitor is far more difficult,” she admitted in her Video Diary, and after telling Sweekar to make sure Varsha was gone, she even confessed, “I feel like some kind of weird criminal.”
The finale began with Teja Sajja revealing that Pranav was the Traitors’ last murder. Dhanunjaya then made a final attempt to expose the Traitors. He named both Shravya and Sweekar in his private reflection, and later even urged Shravya to send Sweekar out and win the game alone, asking her not to “share the prize money” with him. But his suspicions failed to gain traction. He was unanimously voted out in the first round of the final Ring of Doubt, but notably, he never mentioned Shravya’s name at the time. At the end, it was Shravya, Sweekar, Varsha, and Meghanath left to battle it out. Varsha was banished first. Then came the final choice between Trust and Doubt. Meghanath chose doubt, while Shravya and Sweekar chose trust, knowing that their alliance had brought them this far. The two Traitors had successfully outlasted the Innocents, and the reveal left Meghanath stunned. Reflecting on his dearest ally Shravya’s gameplay, he remarked, “I thought even actors can’t beat her. She can deceive real Traitors too. I was terribly shocked.”

Nov 4, 2026Sharing her thoughts on winning the game, Shravya expressed, ““I walked into the palace hoping I’d at least survive three episodes and not make a fool of myself! I never imagined I’d make it this far. I came in unsure of how people would receive me, but earning a place in my co-contestants’ hearts and building friendships that have extended beyond the game is honestly a much bigger win for me. I adapted, strategised, paid attention to every little detail and kept my emotions out of most of the game. I never imagined I’d eventually become a Traitor myself! I’m happy I won, but I do wish I could have won without hurting people I genuinely care about. I guess that’s the beauty and cruelty of this game. You can win the game, but that doesn’t mean every part of the victory feels like one.”
Sweekar added,“I walked into Lalitha Mahal as an Innocent, and I made myself one promise: I'd only react when it really mattered, never for attention. Being blackmailed into becoming a Traitor didn't change who I was, but it changed how I saw every person and every conversation. I spent my time reading people, seeing their strengths and finding ways to support them. That's how I supported my own game too. I was playing a mind game, but I never stopped treating everyone like family, even in the hardest moments. Bringing Shravya in was my biggest call. I knew we'd only make it to the end if we trusted each other completely, and in the final, that trust paid off. People called me the quiet one. What they didn't see was that from the first day to the final, I was always counting.”
It was a win that proved that the biggest deception had been sitting at the table the whole time. As Sweekar rightly put it, “Two Innocents who played well turned into Traitors to win the game. This is the story of The Traitors Telugu S1.”
