The ongoing festivities have brought together renowned personalities, Bollywood stars, and cultural enthusiasts to celebrate the rich culture, art, and spirituality of the Thai Temples. This awe-inspiring sculpture weighs over 3 tons and requires the use of forklifts and cranes during the immersion process. The Protima takes seven rounds before immersion, making it a central focus of the celebration.
The theme for this year’s Durga Puja, “Thai Temples,” draws inspiration from the rich and ornate designs found in the temples of Thailand. The Pandal (decorated temporary structure) has been meticulously designed to recreate a captivating Thai ambiance for all visitors, under the guidance of Art Director Kiran.
North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja Samiti offers a holistic experience to devotees and visitors, with a commitment to excellence in every facet of their hospitality and organization. The Durga Puja celebration spans from Shasti to Bijoya Dashami and includes several rituals and activities like Maha Saptami, Maha Ashtami, Shandhi Puja, Maha Navami Puja, and Bijoya Dashami.
