Anita Pradhan, who portrays Malti Devi in Doosri Maa, hails from Jaipur and has a deep-rooted love for folk dance. She shares her dream of performing with the legendary Rekha. Anita reveals that dance runs in her veins and that she cannot imagine her life without it. She is not only an actress but also a professional dancer and instructor who has represented Rajasthani folk dance during the Republic Day celebrations in New Delhi.
Anita’s admiration for Rekha stems from the latter’s charismatic performances in songs like “Salam-e-Ishq” and “Ankhon Ki Masti.” She hopes to share the stage with Rekha and perform one of her iconic dancing routines someday.
Kamna Pathak, who portrays Rajesh Singh in Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, is a big fan of the late Sridevi. She was inspired to learn how to dance after watching the legendary actress perform. Kamna admits that she was overjoyed when her friends called her “Hamari Sridevi” after she danced to many of the late actress’s songs.
She believes that nobody can match Sridevi’s energy and expression while performing any dance number. Kamna’s favourites include “Mere Hathon Mein Nau Churiyan” and “Hawa Hawaii.” Although she regrets that her dream of sharing the stage with Sridevi will remain unfulfilled, Kamna dedicates this International Dance Day to her idol.
Shubhangi Atre, aka Angoori from Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, is a trained Kathak dancer who loves Indian classical dance forms. She admires Madhuri Dixit and considers her the epitome of dance in Bollywood. Shubhangi enjoys watching Madhuri dance with so much grace and style on screen.
