Bollywood actor Govinda Ahuja and his spouse Sunita Ahuja have recently attracted media attention due to speculation regarding their potential separation. Reports indicate that the couple has been residing apart for a considerable period, leading to questions about the stability of their marriage.
The speculation surrounding their separation has been intensified by claims of “differing lifestyle preferences” between the two. Some sources have even hinted that Govinda’s purported involvement with a Marathi actress might have played a role in the discord.
In a recent interview, Sunita Ahuja disclosed that the couple has been living in distinct residences owing to Govinda’s demanding work commitments. “We own two properties; we have a bungalow across from our apartment. I have my temple and children in the flat. We reside in the flat while he often returns late from his meetings,” she clarified.
Sunita further articulated her dissatisfaction with Govinda’s dedication to work, noting that he seldom takes breaks for vacations or leisure. “I have told him that in my next life, he should not be my husband. He never goes on holidays. I am someone who wishes to go out with her husband and enjoy street food like pani-puri,” she remarked.

Despite the ongoing rumors, neither Govinda nor Sunita has issued an official comment regarding their marriage. Nevertheless, sources close to the couple indicate that they are attempting to resolve their differences.
Govinda’s manager, Shashi Sinha, has refuted claims of a separation, asserting that the couple is merely addressing some familial matters. “There have been issues between the couple due to certain remarks made by family members. There is nothing more to it, and Govinda is in the process of commencing a new film,” he stated.
Govinda and Sunita Ahuja have been married for 37 years, having exchanged vows in March 1987. They are parents to two children, daughter Tina and son Yashvardhan.
As the rumors regarding their marriage persist, fans of the couple can only wish for their successful reconciliation.
