Arushi Nishank, a versatile personality known for her roles as an actor, producer, and social activist, has been earning accolades not only across India but also on the international stage. The Chief Minister of her home state, Uttarakhand, has also recognized and praised her work, particularly her ongoing project “Kaphal,” a web series commissioned by Disney+Hotstar, being filmed in Nainital.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited the set of “Kaphal” and was thoroughly impressed with the way the series captured the natural beauty of the region. He noted, “Cinema serves as a reflection of contemporary times, showcasing the remarkable ways it can capture beauty.”
Furthermore, he expressed his hope for the implementation of new policies that would benefit the film industry, given the unexplored landscapes and the potential the hilly regions of the state have to offer.
The Chief Minister showered praise on Arushi and her team for their dedication and the series that showcases Uttarakhand’s beauty on an international platform for the first time.

In response to the Chief Minister’s appreciation, Arushi expressed her gratitude, saying, “I sincerely thank the entire team for their dedication and hard work. ‘Kaphal’ aims to reconnect us with our roots, bridging the gap between India and Bharat. This is a significant step toward a greater change.”
Arushi also commended Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami for his efforts in promoting Uttarakhand globally.
She emphasized the significance of the project, noting that over 150 local artists have contributed, benefiting numerous hotels and local businesses in the Kumaon region, which has had a positive impact on the local economy.
“We are thankful for the state and the Honorable Chief Minister’s support and remain committed to empowering the region,” Arushi added.
“Kaphal” boasts a stellar cast, including Divyendu Sharma, Mukti Mohan, and Kusha Kapila, and is directed by Prem Mistry. Arushi Nishank serves as the producer of the show.
