2023 is almost here and the world has gone on a celebratory mode already. After two years of devastating pandemic, this time the merriment is going to be doubled. Actor Ambuj Dixit, known for his short film Antara and webseries Damaged ( season 1), shares about his New Year celebration plans and more.
“I see the year gone by as a lesson. I have experienced good and bad things. Good situations upgraded me, bad experiences gave me lessons for the future. 2022 was prosperous as I had achieved some personal goals too. I had recovered from an injury as well. My career went on like a roller coaster ride. It wasn’t smooth. Well, none of the years can ever be without any flaw. Hence ups and downs are a part of life,” he says.
Talking about specific milestones he adds, “It met a part of my expectations yet I had more potential than what I achieved. I will push forward my potential and hard work to the new year 2023.”
He wishes for a happy and eventful 2023. “A specific milestone I would like to talk about is that I was able to discover myself more in terms of my goals, career and life path. I was able to come in terms with my lower back injury which had kept me away from lifting weights. So I figured out a way to still be in shape without doing the same by shifting my focus to an organic lifestyle that includes fitness in forms of walking, running, light weights, freehand and most importantly a disciplined healthy diet,” he says.

Changes that he would like to bring in his profession in 2023 include doing more work. “I wish it to be more rewarding in terms of my career and well-being. I hope I get more opportunities to showcase my work and get more recognition and more experience. I wish to see myself being better than last year or last to last year and be the best version of myself,” he adds.
So what’s the first word/thing that comes to your mind when you are asked to complete, ‘In 2023 I would like to do ……’? And, Ambuj replies, “Happiness is a bit different from a feeling. Rather, it is an experience, usually hallmarked by positive thinking, joy, pride and even laughter. There is always a scope of improvement in an actor’s life. So my focus would be to continuously work on my strengths as well as my weaknesses as an actor and as a human being. I would love to keep progressing, attuning and improving my skill set and craft to do more work and enjoy representing my acting in front of the camera. I believe in making the reel as real as possible.”
