Director Ismail Umar Khan Enjoys Working on Festivals, Including Diwali

Director Ismail Umar Khan expresses his love for working on festivals, particularly Diwali, citing the positive and lively atmosphere on the set during such occasions. He appreciates the festive vibe created by energetic people, making the work environment enjoyable.

"I love to work during festivals, especially during Diwali. People working around you are so energetic and lively. Only positive vibes! Of course, after packup, being with family and meeting friends, socializing completes the festive day," says Ismail Umar Khan.

He reminisces about traditional Diwali celebrations involving fireworks like "fatake ki ladi," "ful jadi," and "chakri." However, he acknowledges the changing times, with people becoming more conscious of noise and environmental pollution. Ismail appreciates the glamour of fireworks like "Anar."

Regarding his Diwali plans, Ismail shares that he usually shops for festive clothes and gift packs for close friends. Despite the demanding nature of his profession, he emphasizes the importance of time management and the ability to balance work and festivities.

"Gone are the days when we used to light 'fatake ki ladi,' 'ful jadi,' and 'chakri.' In fact, nothing can beat the glamour of 'Anar.' On the contrary, with every passing year, people are getting more aware of noise pollution and environmental pollution. Most of the time for Diwali, I shop for festive clothes and gift packs for close friends. Our profession teaches us time management. We are experts in the balancing act. Diwali is anyway celebrated in the night, so it’s not very difficult to manage time," he adds.
