In a proud and historic moment for Indian cinema, the Indian Motion Picture Producers’ Association (IMPPA) made a dazzling impact at the 78th Cannes Film Festival 2025. The IMPPA at Cannes 2025 was officially inaugurated on 14th May by cinematic legends Mr. Shekhar Kapur and Mr. Anupam Kher, capturing global attention from filmmakers, dignitaries, and media.
They were joined by a distinguished delegation from IMPPA, including Mr. Abhay Sinha (President), Ms. Sushama Shiromanee (Senior Vice President), Mr. Atul Patel and Mr. Surendra alias Tinu Verma (Vice Presidents), Mr. Kukoo Kohli (Honorary General Secretary), and Executive Committee members Mr.Ghanshyam Talaviya and Mr. Bobby Bedi.

IMPPA’s Cannes 2025 showcase highlights a vibrant bouquet of trailers, premieres, and screenings including 1946 Direct Action Day, Chorni, Indian vs NRI Wives, Lost & Found in Kumbh, Mission Grey House, Nafratein, The Second Wind, Vijeyta, Nirdhaar (Marathi), Sanam Teri Kasam, Bhootnii, Pintu Ki Pappi, Blind Game, Saas Kamaal Bahu Dhamal (Bhojpuri), Bajrangi (Bhojpuri), Footanibaaz, Welcome, Annapoorani (Tamil), Sarpanchi 2024 (Punjabi), Ai Dil Ji Le Zara, Bin Piya Doli Bin Piya Gawana, Chandra Dev, Dilwali Dulha Le Jayegi, Kusthi, Mati Ke Lal Superstar, Raj Mahal, and Yeh Dil Aashiqanaa (Re-release).
Special Market Screenings include short films & anthologies like Feddora’s Wrinkles, Naina, Meet Mr Chang, and inspirational titles like I Am I Can, M4M – Motive for Murder, and Pichchar.
IMPPA stands as a strong platform championing regional talent, innovative storytelling, and Indian cultural pride.

In a proud global development, Mr. Abhay Sinha has been appointed as Vice President of FIAPF(International Federation of Film Producers Associations), a prestigious international body comprising 36 member countries. The appointment was officially conferred by FIAPF President Mr. Luis A Scalella.
