Mumbai: Diwali is a festival that brings people together and reminds them of the importance of positivity, hope and new beginnings. For entrepreneur Gauravv Saxena, the festival holds a deeper meaning beyond lights, decorations and celebrations. He believes that the true essence of Diwali lies in overcoming challenges, staying grounded and spreading happiness through one's actions.
Talking about how the meaning of Diwali has evolved for him over the years, Gauravv says, “When I was younger, Diwali was mostly about new clothes, sweets, crackers and spending time with family. But as I have grown older, my understanding of the festival has changed. Today, I see it as a reminder that no matter how difficult life gets, there is always hope and an opportunity to begin again. The idea of light overcoming darkness is something we can apply to our everyday lives by choosing positivity over negativity and kindness over hatred.”
Sharing his Diwali celebration plans, he says, “For me, Diwali is all about spending quality time my loved ones. I enjoy decorating the house, lighting diyas, enjoying traditional food and exchanging wishes. I also love the festive atmosphere around me. I prefer keeping the celebrations simple and meaningful rather than making elaborate plans. The happiness of being surrounded by people who matter is what makes the festival special.”

Nov 7, 2026Speaking about balancing professional commitments with festive celebrations, Gauravv adds, “Being an entrepreneur comes with responsibilities, and there are times when work demands your attention even during festivals. I believe planning and managing your time well makes a big difference. I try to complete important commitments in advance so that I can spend some uninterrupted time with my family. At the same time, I feel festivals teach us to pause, take a break and appreciate the people and things we often take for granted.”
Recalling his most memorable Diwali, he shares, “My most memorable Diwalis have always been the ones spent with family. There is something beautiful about everyone coming together, sharing food, laughing and creating memories. These moments may seem ordinary, but they become special as time passes. For me, the emotional connection and togetherness make a Diwali truly memorable.”
Sharing a message for his fans this Diwali, Gauravv concludes, “I would like everyone to remember that happiness is not just about what we achieve or possess, but also about what we give to others. Be kind, help someone in need and never underestimate the power of a small positive gesture. Let us not limit the spirit of Diwali to one day. Carry that light within you throughout the year and make someone's life a little brighter through your actions
