Actors turned producers, Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal, are all set to present their debut production, "Girls Will Be Girls," at the esteemed Sundance Film Festival. The film, competing in the World Dramatic Cinema category, is scheduled for its world premiere on January 20th. Richa and Ali, excited about showcasing their project on an international platform, have headed to Park City, Utah, for the prestigious event.
"Girls Will Be Girls" is a collaboration between Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal's production houses - Pushing Buttons Studios, Blink Digital, Crawling Angel Films, and Dolce Vita Films. Directed by Shuchi Talati, the film unfolds a compelling narrative set in a boarding school in a small Himalayan hill town in northern India. The story revolves around the rebellious awakening of a 16-year-old girl (Preeti Panigrahi) intricately woven with her mother's unfulfilled coming-of-age experience (Kani Kusruti). The cast also includes Jitin Gulati and Kesav Binoy Kiron in pivotal roles.
