Ace fashion designer Anjali Phogaut says that showbiz is all about outward appearances and people’s perceptions. She says that it’s important to be well turned out here.
“I think it is very important for everyone to look good and polished because whenever we go for a job interview or any project and anyone who doesn't know us and looks at us for the first time, they build their perception by looking at us. As a designer, it’s extremely important to look polished and well put-together because if you don’t look good, how will you convey this message to your clients,” she says.
She adds, “Whether you are in show business or any business, you don’t have to spend millions of dollars to look good or buy expensive or branded clothes. You can buy simple good quality clothes and have basics in your closet and create multiple looks by playing with your basics. How you look always helps you to get good job opportunities and build people's perception about your aura and trust in you and your brand because if you look good people perceive you in that way as well. You are the representation of your brand, so by looking at you, people can tell a lot about the good quality clothes you produce or the jewellery you make. In showbiz you are surrounded by cameras, journalists and stages and I work very closely with Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants. Those are the top most pageants in the globe. Plus, i designed outfits and jewelry for Miss Universe harnaaz kaur Sandhu and currently working on designing couture for Miss Universe Armania and many other countries delegates in New York Fashion Week. Recently Hollywood actress Ellie Kemper was spotted wearing my designs in her recent appearance for her famous show launch The Americas bakers So, it is essential for me to look as well so that those girls and leading celebrities can have confidence in my styling and products. I like to groom my models in a way that they have the confidence to rule the world.”

Talking about the same, she says, “I am very closely connected with a lot of film producers, directors and actors as well. Lately, I have got offers for web series and short film projects but being in the US and being in a corporate job leading my business, it is very difficult for me to take a break from my work and travel back to my country and stay there for 30- 40 days to complete one project. Now that I am getting so many offers, I am seriously thinking about taking on some projects and planning to travel next year in April to India. Depending on that, I might consider one interesting opportunity
