Varanasi, November 7th, 2022: &TV’s Happu Ki Ultan Paltan has been one of the most loved shows on Indian television. The show narrates the escapades of Daroga Happu Singh (Yogesh Tripathi), his ‘Dabangg Dulhan’ Rajesh (Kamna Pathak), an obstinate mother, Katori Amma (Himani Shivpuri), and his nine notorious children. The festival, also known as ‘Diwali of Gods’, is celebrated with full zeal and zest in Varanasi.
Yogesh Tripathi, essaying Daroga Happu Singh’s character, expresses his excitement, “Dev Deepawali in Varanasi is one of the grandest celebrations in Uttar Pradesh around Diwali. It is a splendid spectacle and a must-see event. After many years I will be witnessing Dev Deepawali celebrations in Varanasi. It is my second visit here. I was a teenager when I first witnessed the celebrations, and it was one of the most memorable experiences and a magnificent one too! I had never imagined being on stage one day and celebrating it with millions of Kaashi Vaasis. I am quite excited and eagerly looking forward to it.” Kamna Pathak, essaying Rajesh’s role, adds, “Our show, Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, is an Uttar Pradesh-based show. And what better way to mark the festive season than celebrating the city’s largest festival, Dev Deepavali, with our audience in Varanasi?
