Ajay Devgn slips back into the role of Vijay with such ease. There’s no need for a grand reintroduction or an over-the-top performance; just a glance across the room or a few seconds of silence can leave you pondering his next move. That subtlety is one of the standout aspects of his performance.

Verity Review: A Dark Mystery That Keeps You Guessing But Loses Its Grip
Oct 3, 2026Jaideep Ahlawat injects a fresh energy into the narrative. His presence adds an unsettling layer to the investigation, especially during the intense moments when he confronts Vijay. The chemistry between the two actors is palpable; they don’t need to raise their voices to create tension, and some of their quieter exchanges pack a bigger punch than the louder confrontations.
Shriya Saran shines in some of the film’s more emotional scenes as Nandini Salgaonkar. This time, she feels more deeply connected to the family’s anxiety, rather than just being a supportive figure beside Vijay. Tabu makes her return as Meera Deshmukh, while Prakash Raj adds depth to the later stages of the investigation and courtroom drama.
The film does take a bit of time to find its rhythm. The initial segments have some slower moments, which might test the patience of viewers who are eager for constant twists. However, once the investigation starts to close in on Vijay, the pace picks up significantly.
What really shines in the final part of the film is that it doesn’t just bombard the audience with surprises. Instead, it takes a moment to delve into Vijay's thought process and explains why things unfolded the way they did. Sure, some viewers might see certain twists coming, but there are enough intriguing details to keep the climax engaging.
Abhishek Pathak maintains a serious tone throughout, steering clear of unnecessary comedy or musical interludes. The background score plays a crucial role in building tension, while the courtroom scenes give the second half a much-needed boost.
While Drishyam The Conclusion may not capture the same freshness as the first installment, it’s tough for any sequel to replicate that magic. However, it doesn’t feel like a forced addition just for the sake of having another film. There’s a solid story here, with Vijay facing one last intricate challenge, and the Hindi franchise wraps up in a way that feels satisfying and complete.
