Actor Samridh Bawa, who is part of the web series Dhappa, says that OTT has opened up a lot of avenues for actors today. Also, he says that any storyline which has been unexplored before will generate interest on the web.
“Definitely, OTT has changed things a lot. More projects and interesting characters have been unlocked for actors. Any new story which is refreshing for the audience works on the web. I am an actor, always ready to explore myself as an actor. Honestly, I feel it gets a little difficult for TV actors to bag good roles at times, but I can see good actors are welcome everywhere so hopefully that will be solved soon,” he says.
The actor, who has been part of Balika Vadhu 2 and Ek Shringaar Swabhiman, says that Dhappa was a project which will always be special for him. “I always wanted to work with Anil sir and via Dhappa I entered the web. So, I am glad I did it. The character is completely opposite to my real life personality and it was challenging and fun. The character is a happy-go-lucky guy, fun to be around. So, I think that is making the audience connect to the character,” he says.
Talking about working with director-producer Anil V Kumar, he says, “I always knew he is one of the best directors we have in the industry and I am happy that I got a chance to be part of his project. He is so humble and hardworking and that is the best combination.”
