Every child loves to play with toys. But not all of them are fortunate to have them. It is on us as parents to help the less fortunate little ones live their childhood to the fullest. Preeti Jhangiani, a renowned actress and entrepreneur has stepped up for this cause donating toys and games from her end to an NGO Toybank that takes care of providing all children with the best of the opportunities to learn with play.
Talking about the intention of ToyBank, she says,"The idea has been conceived to alleviate the mental stress and loneliness of little children from impoverished families .People can donate either new toys or their children’s excess or unused toys in good condition as part of the project.The collected toys are cleaned, labelled and segregated based on the age group they are meant for. I was delighted to be introduced to Toybank some years ago. Led by inspirational men and women like Shweta chari , I was so impressed with their vision and drive to connect with less fortunate children through play, games and toys. I am glad to support by doing my part and urge all mothers to do the same."
Toybank collaborates with institutions in Urban and Rural India by setting up Play Centers within their premises and conducts Educational Play Sessions, Team building Activities and other Development Workshops at these libraries through Board Games and Toys.
