The fast of Karva Chauth is an important for married women This year, the fast of Karva Chauth is set to be celebrated on October 13. Women keep a Nirjala fast on this day and pray for the long life of their husbands. This fast starts from sunrise in the morning and is kept till the moon rises in the evening. After offering Arghya after seeing the moon in the evening, women break their fast by drinking water from the husband's hand.

Normally, I fast with all my friends and we have a feast and light diyas. I celebrate it with my inlaws as well. I apply henna and get decked up. The practice of feeding each other food and breaking the fast after spotting the moon is really cute ."
