Assam, February 2022, When it comes to the title track of any television series, it is known to set up the entire mood of what the audience can expect from the series. While the storyline takes twists and turns, the title track remains the same. It was witnessed that for a veteran actor of Assam, Jatin Bora’s new serial ‘Morisika’ which is expected to release on the 21st February exclusively on ‘Raang’ the title track is sung by independent artist Shankuraj Konwar.
When asked Shankuraj about his experience working on this project, he fondly mentioned, “I am very excited and inspired to have worked with such a legendary actor of Assam. I grew up watching his plays and movies on television, cinema halls, and mobile theaters and have acquired a lot of influence from him. I feel really honored and privileged to be a part of his project and I really hope that the project is going to be well received by the audience of Assam.”
He also added saying “This song is a collaborative effort which wouldn't have been possible with the team which had eminent artists like the lyricist Swaraj Priyo, who is a very talented writer, poet, and filmmaker. This is one of many upcoming collaborations I plan to do with him. Writuraj Gogoi and Bhaskar Saikia did a fabulous job on the guitar arrangements. I am also very glad to have worked with Abhinav Bora who designed the bassline for “Morisika”. There is also a very sweet flute arrangement in the song, which was designed by Rupankar Das who also plays on our band “Project Baartalaap”.
The official featuring as well as the lyric videos of “Morisika” which also features Bablya R Bora & Pallabi Gohain Pathak released on 14th February and the audio is available for streaming on all major streaming platforms.
