Birthday is all about feeling special and letting your hair down. But for some, it is also a time to introspect and take stock of life. A case in point is Deepali Saini. The actress, who played Shakuntala in Saath Nibhaana Saathiya 2, turns a year younger today.
Talking about her plans for the day, she says, “I haven’t planned anything grand this time around. Like every year, I will visit an orphanage and cut a cake with the kids and do something special for them. In the evening, I will go out with my friends to a favourite food joint and have a good time.”
Ask her about wishes and prayers on her birthday and Deepali gets all philosophical. She shares, “I wish not to repeat the mistakes I made. I am a bit short-tempered. So, my resolution is to control it. I also intend to make people close to me happier. Emotions and temperament in check will be my self-gift on my birthday.”
Never the one to take her fitness for granted, Deepali intends to focus on her health, even more, this year. She says, “Health is paramount and I will take extra care of my health and fitness. I believe that age is just a number. What really matters is how old you look. If you look younger than your age, it means that you have taken good care of your body and health. Remember, no matter what your age is, always treat your body like a temple. You will look healthier, fresher and youthful forever.”
