10th September in Mumbai- Meet the beach warriors who are on a mission to make Mumbai swachh. After the final day of Ganpati Visarjan in Mumbai, more than 1000 volunteers along with members of Divyaj foundation , Bhamla Foundation and MCGM cleaned up Juhu beach in the city. Juhu beach was left with ample amount of waste on its shores, following the Ganpati Visarjan, which took place on 9th of September, 2022.

Ganapti idols are dismantled, despite the ban on plastic there is so much plastic on the beach, footwear, bottles, glass pieces etc, it is heart breaking. We organise Cleanathon every year. We have volunteers from every walk of life- students, doctors, engineers who sacrifice their office and help us clean the beach" he further adds "The ultimate goal for us is not only confined till cleanups but to raise awareness on the continuous growth of the garbage and how it is affecting the environment on a global level"
