Actor Aditya Deshmukh says that superstar Shah Rukh Khan has always been his inspiration and he feels lucky to have been part of the industry at a time when King Khan has successfully completed three decades of acting.
“I want to congratulate Shah Rukh Sir for completing 30 glorious years in this industry. Inspiring all the actors, non-actors, everyone. During our parents' generation, if they have seen someone becoming a star, that's Rajesh Khanna, Amitabh Bachchan and many more. And if we talk about our generation, if we have seen anyone becoming a star, it has to be Shah Rukh Khan. I feel honored that I belong to that generation where l have seen Shah Rukh Sir's growth in the industry. Right from his first film till now, I am lucky that I could watch his journey,” he says.
He adds, “He's a very intelligent actor. He's a gold medallist in Economics and an amazing businessman. I think there's a lot to learn from him. The way he walks, the way he talks, the way he portrays himself in front of people, in front of the media, the kind of confidence that he has. He was an underdog who dreamt of becoming one of the greats and now he's the second richest actor in the world, which is a big thing.”
Talking about what he has learnt from King Khan, he says, “In one of his interviews he said, ‘I wake up in the morning with the intention that today I have to work really hard,’. The interviewer also asked him if he's the second richest actor in the world and if he fears that somebody else can take his place. Very confidently, he answered, ‘Jab hume kuch banna hai tab mehnat karte hai, banne ke baad meri jitni mehnat koi nahi kar sakta.’.”
Aditya adds, “So once you have become a star, you have to maintain that level and I think that's very true. If your first film becomes superhit, after that your journey starts. And you have to live that journey. And that is how Shah Rukh sir has reached this level. Tireless performances, same attitude. Having your own cricket team. I have heard his stories, he stayed at the platform when he was struggling. And today he has reached heights. I have a dream that one day I'll be performing with him and seek his blessings. It's the dream of every actor. His achievements today are so brilliant.”
In fact, Aditya says that Shah Rukh Khan is loved by all age groups. “There's no star like Shah Rukh sir. He has not only inspired my generation but even the older generation. My mom loves watching him. Whenever she watches DDLJ even today, there's one scene where her heart melts. The song Chaand Tare Tod Laau was written for him and he has given justice to that song. I think we should all work the way Shah Rukh Sir does. He still works really hard,” he says
