There is nothing better than the taste and aroma of tea along with an interesting conversation. On this International Tea Day, &TV artists including Mohit Dagga (Ashok, Doosri Maa), Sapna Sikarwar (Bimlesh, Happu Ki Ultan Paltan), and Vidisha Srivastava (Anita Bhabi, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai) share their love for chai and reveal the celebrity they would like to go on a chai date with. Mohit Dagga, essaying Ashok in &TV show Doosri Maa, shares, “My wife says that I make the world's best adrak vali chai, and whenever I am at home, I make it for everyone. Even on the sets of Doosri Maa, whenever I get time, I make my special chai for the team. The tea has fresh ginger roots, cardamom, tea leaves, and milk, which I crush to get that aroma and taste. Honestly, I always dreamed about having a cup of chai with my idol late Irrfan Khan Ji. Though my wish remained unfulfilled, he will be in my heart forever. Also, I am a big fan of Amitabh Bachchan, and I had this big dream to make him taste my special adrak vali chai. I am in awe of his personality and art. I would love to have a detailed conversation about his journey as an actor over chai.”
Sapna Sikarwar, essaying Bimlesh in &TV show Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, says, “Watching Akshay Kumar as a hero onscreen made me fall in love with him irrevocably. Like many other girls, I am in awe of his films and admire him as the King of Comedy. He has always been my only crush after my husband (laughs), and I have a dream to be on a date with him over a cup of tea. The ideal location would be the top floor of Burj Khalifa with the magnificent view of Dubai skyline. It will be the best day of my life. Listening to his interesting and witty lines with some savoury treats and delicious tea will be so romantic.” Vidisha Srivastava, essaying Anita Bhabi in &TV show Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, says, “My husband used to take me out for beautiful tea dates before we married, and this is how our love blossomed during those years. He is the best person to have a Chai pe charcha with, and now whenever I am angry or in a bad mood, he makes his special tea for me. We still go on tea dates which makes me feel special. And, yes, I have the best evening tea breaks with my Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai team, who make each chai session absolute fun and hilarious. If I had to go on a chai date with a celebrity, it would always be Priyanka Chopra. She is an international diva, someone very talented, glamorous, and makes each conversation interesting. I hope to fulfil this dream one day."
