Ohh My Dog might not be making a thunderous splash at the box office, but the Pankaj Tripathi starrer is gradually finding its audience. It kicked off with around Rs 75 lakh, but picked up steam on Saturday, raking in nearly Rs 1 crore, which brings its total Indian collection to about Rs 1.85 crore, including previews.
The boost on Day 2 is definitely a positive sign for the film. While it may not boast the blockbuster numbers of a major commercial release, Ohh My Dog was never really meant to be that kind of film. With a smaller release, it’s aimed at families and those looking for something a bit lighter and more heartfelt.

Sunday could give it another lift. If the film can draw in more families over the weekend, it stands a good chance of wrapping up its first three days close to the Rs 3 crore mark. After that, it’ll all hinge on whether it can keep the audience coming back during the weekdays.

Asur Season 3 to bring back Arshad Warsi and Barun Sobti with Shweta Basu Prasad joining the thriller
Aug 10, 2026At the heart of Ohh My Dog is a touching tale about two dogs, Momo and Oscar, who are separated at birth and grow up in entirely different environments. Momo finds a loving home in Assam, while Oscar forms a bond with Prince, a construction worker in Bihar. Their lives take an unexpected twist when Momo goes missing, and Prince disappears too, sparking a search that eventually intertwines their stories.
Pankaj Tripathi is a major draw for the film, known for making even the simplest characters feel relatable. He brings his signature warmth to the role. The cast also features Maahi Rai, Pavan Malhotra, Geeta Agrawal Sharma, Rajesh Kumar, and Shreedhar Dubey, along with an extraordinary ensemble of co-stars around 250 dogs!
Amit Rai, who previously directed OMG 2, has taken the reins once again as both writer and director for this film. This time around, he’s opted for a more family-friendly approach, focusing on the heartwarming connection between humans and animals instead of going for a big commercial spectacle.
As for the current box office numbers, they’re not quite enough to label Ohh My Dog a hit just yet. However, given its limited release and niche audience, the growth seen on Day 2 is definitely something the filmmakers can celebrate. A strong showing on Sunday could provide the boost the film needs.
At the moment, Ohh My Dog is taking a more subdued path at the box office. It may not be making waves, but it’s gradually drawing audiences into theaters, and sometimes that’s all it takes for a small family film to find its footing.
