The much-anticipated film, “Kashmir – Enigma of Paradise,” has embarked on its cinematic journey, with the commencement of shooting in the picturesque hill station of Lonavala. Under the direction of Atul Garg, this film endeavors to unveil the enigmatic history of Kashmir, spanning over a century, from the early 1920s to the present day.
“Kashmir – Enigma of Paradise” aspires to do justice to the region’s rich cultural heritage, breathtaking landscapes, delectable cuisine, and the warmth of its people. Often termed as “heaven on earth,” Kashmir’s multifaceted beauty has been overshadowed by the portrayal of terrorism in several Bollywood productions. Atul Garg, the director of this ambitious project, seeks to rectify this by presenting a comprehensive and authentic historical narrative.

Commenting on the film’s vision, Atul Garg stated, “Many films have been made in the name of Kashmir, but none have explored its history of over a century like we are attempting in ‘Kashmir – Enigma of Paradise.’ We want to take viewers on an exciting journey through time, from pre-independence to present-day Kashmir, with the film.” He emphasized the importance of showcasing the true essence of Kashmir, moving beyond the stereotypes that have often dominated its portrayal.
The shooting schedule for “Kashmir – Enigma of Paradise” spans nearly 100 days, with two schedules already completed in the breathtaking landscapes of Kashmir. Following the Lonavala leg of shooting, the production will continue in various locations across the country.
The film boasts a talented ensemble cast, including Darsheel Safary, Rajneesh Duggal, Inaamulhaq, Akanksha Puri, Sajjad Delafrooz, Ram Gopal Bajaj, Adhyayan Suman, MK Raina, Arif Zakaria, Pawan Chopra, Amit Behl, Mahesh Balraj, Praneet Bhatt, Delbar Arya, Niharica Raizada, Mir Sarwar, and more. Each actor brings their unique talent to contribute to the storytelling.
Speaking about his experience on the film, Darsheel Safary expressed, “The story of ‘Kashmir – Enigma of Paradise’ is very interesting. The subject and context are complex and demand a lot of hard work. Working on the film has been a great learning experience as an actor.”
Produced by Eternal Films and promoted by Sanjay Bhushan Patiyala, the film boasts a talented crew, including cinematographer Fasahat Khan, production designer Shree S Nair, and action director Sunil Rodrigues.
