Reflecting on Meenakshi Seshadri’s reaction, Shiv Thakare shared, “I performed on the song ‘Maay Bhavani’ from Ajay Devgn’s Tanhaji – The Unsung Warrior. Dancing to such a powerful and energetic song feels like a blessing, and I experienced that divine energy during my performance.”
“All three judges, Farah Khan, Arshad Warsi, and Malaika Arora, appreciated my performance, but Meenakshi ji expressed her surprise at learning that I am a non-dancer. She mentioned, ‘I can’t say that you are a non-dancer after witnessing what you have performed.’ Receiving such compliments from a seasoned actress and a classically trained dancer like her is a significant achievement for me. It felt like receiving blessings from a goddess,” Shiv added.
In the previous weekend’s episode, Shiv Thakare ventured into new territory, attempting something different as per the judges’ suggestion. Although considered early by the judges, Shiv embraced the challenge positively, viewing it as motivation to enhance his skills.
Recalling his experiment, Shiv said, “Judges often encourage us to push our limits every week, and that idea stuck with me. My choreographer Romsha Singh and I decided to create a fusion act, combining Kathak with a dance song. While the judges appreciated my attempt, their feedback suggested that it might have been too early for a non-dancer like me to experiment. I realized the importance of understanding my limitations and not taking big risks in a competition where participants face elimination every week.”
“This time, we corrected our approach. We attempted something new in terms of dance, putting in more effort than ever. The hard work paid off, and I am confident that our viewers and fans will also appreciate our performance,” Shiv Thakare concluded.
