In today’s fast-paced life, people hardly have time to take care of their body, leading to a decline in their fitness. However, popular TV actor Rishina Kandhari stresses on the importance of exercise for self-care, both physical and mental. Kandhari, who is known for her roles in TV shows such as Na Aana Is Des Laado, Devon Ke Dev…Mahadev, Tu Sooraj, Main Saanjh Piyaji, and Na Umra Ki Seema Ho, believes that sports are an integral part of a person’s life and everyone should indulge in at least one sport.
According to Kandhari, her family has always been into sports, including her brother who takes time out from his busy schedule to play cricket and football with his team. Even Kandhari’s daughter has won best athlete awards for four consecutive years. Hence, Kandhari believes that sports run in their family, and it should be a part of everyone’s life.
Kandhari encourages everyone to not only restrict themselves to the gym but also play sports and do yoga. She believes that playing sports broadens a person’s thought process and helps them master the art of multitasking. “I think it’s very important for everyone to play a sport. It may not be possible every day, but it should be done on weekends at least,” she adds.
Playing sports helps in achieving overall fitness and keeping the mind and body healthy. Regular physical activity helps in reducing stress, anxiety, and depression while boosting self-esteem and confidence. Hence, Kandhari emphasizes that indulging in sports should be a part of everyone’s lifestyle to maintain a healthy mind and body.
