South India’s Real Star, Upendra, known as one of the world’s best directors, has wrapped up shooting for his latest film, “UI.” This highly anticipated project sees Upendra both acting and directing. The magnum opus is produced by Lahari Films, G Manoharan, Venus Entertainers, KP Sreekanth, and co-produced by Naveen Manoharan.
As he moves into the post-production phase of the film, Upendra, in his first BTS (Behind the Scenes) update video, has ignited an important debate by questioning the trend of releasing teasers and trailers. He argues that teasers and trailers can mislead and create false hype among the audience. This question has sparked a significant discussion within the industry, among audiences, and his fans.
However, due to immense pressure from his fans, the hit-maker Upendra has agreed to release the highly anticipated ‘UI’ teaser at Urvashi Theatre, Bangalore. The teaser is set to be released on his birthday, September 18, as a gift to his fans.
The film stars Upendra in the lead role, alongside Reeshma Nanaiah as the lead actress, with Nidhi Subbaiah, Murali Sharma, and P Ravi Shankar in prominent roles. The music is composed by Ajaneesh Loknath (known for ‘Kanthara’), art direction is by Shiva Kumar (known for ‘KGF 1 & 2’), cinematography by HC Venugopal (known for ‘A’ and ‘H2O’), and VFX supervised by Nirmal Kumar (known for ‘Vikranth Rona’).
