Witty, Raw, Funny, Observant, Unique- Judges are all Praises for the Comicstaan Season 3 Contestants

Comicstaan is gearing up for release with its brand new season on Amazon Prime Video. With an exciting new format, the show is ready to send you on a laughter spree. One thing that the fans of the well-acclaimed comedy franchise are excited about is the new contestants. While the audiences will have to wait for another day to watch the new bunch of comics, Zakir Khan and Neeti Palta share their views on the contestants.

Speaking about the contestants, Zakir said, "I won't take names, but the female contestants this year are amazing, all of them. One of them was very new to the scene, and we weren't sure how she would perform in the format. And since the format permits just a few 4 to 5 minutes of performance per comic, we were so surprised to see her doing better and better in each and every episode. She was so raw in the show, that whatever she did was funny and acceptable." Zakir noted that shows like Comicstaan allow contestants to hone their skills and become better at their craft. He adds, “Comicstaan is not just a competition where we judge, and budding comics participate. It is an initiative to turn the audience's interests towards comedy as a field. We want every person to do well on the show, so that comedy as a community thrives. Therefore Comicstaan is an initiative towards that purpose.”

Giving an insight about what to expect from the participants, judge Neeti Palta said, “Every one of them has a unique voice. There's one whose head is always in a dark space and that cracks you up. There's one who would visualise her joke in such details that you're with her throughout. And then there are two very professional looking guys who make you feel even professors can be funny! One guy will just take you by surprise with his dance, he will be standing there straight delivering jokes and then suddenly dancing around and taking you hilariously by surprise! For me each one of them was a surprise package. These people are amazingly talented.”

All eight episodes of season three will cover various genres of comedy. Releasing on 15th July, the show also has names like Rohan Joshi, Rahul Subramanian, Aadar Malik, Anu Menon, Kanan Gill, Prashasti Singh and Sapan Verma as part of the mentors.
