2023 is almost here and the world has gone on a celebratory mode already. After two years of devastating pandemic, this time the merriment is going to be doubled. Nivedita Basu, Head Of Content, Strategy and Business Alliance, talks about her New Year celebration plans and more.

Join Telegram Channel“2022 was a great year for me both professionally and personally. I joined Atrangii at the advent of the channel and Atrangii OTT which are doing well. God is kind and I am thankful and grateful for what I have. I don’t compare my life with anyone. Enjoy where you are and live to the fullest,” she says.
Nivedita goes on to add that having a double portfolio like being a channel head and being an OTT head was something which she does not think I would have gotten in a bigger platform.
“I see a brighter side in everything. Having done production all my life, I did get channel head offers a few times in my successful career when I was with Ekta [Kapoor; producer] but I always thought there is so much to learn from her. So I chose to be in production. Today I feel I am smarter and intelligent and as a human being I am more level-headed and that’s what is needed in a professional space and the position which I am holding right now at Atrangii,” she adds.

Speaking on the milestones in 2022, she shares that as a content head she is not someone who is just putting content out there without understanding the dynamics of how cost-effective it is, how much you can recover from it and the revenue part of it.
“I am somebody who has a CEO and business head quality wrapped into one because that’s what I did in this company. I was not blindly taking concepts without understanding where the money came from. The biggest problem was that OTT has a cost versus success thing. A thing can be successful but how do you measure it? Along with content I also got business alliances where I could create finances and bring revenue,” she says.
Nivedita hopes 2023 brings more success, happiness and contentment. “We should also be content and grateful for what we have. I want to be more grateful in my life to my parents, my in-laws, and my friends. Without my kids and husband I don’t think I would be anywhere. I am grateful to God everyday as they have given me such a great family to fall back on. Professionally, everyday is a learning curve and there is so much to achieve,” she says.
Content with what she is doing and where she is in her career, everyone wants to achieve more and in 2023. “I want to do more portfolios in the media, probably which I haven’t done in my past 20 years. Thanks to Vibuji [Agarwal; Founder and CEO Atrangii TV] that I came to Atrangii front the time it started,” she adds.
So what’s the first word/thing that comes to your mind when you are asked to complete, ‘In 2023 I would like to do ……’? And, NIvedita is quick to reply, “In 2023 I would like to be a happier person and want to work hard and be passionate about whatever I take up.”
