As the first month of the year inches closer to an end, one of the most important days for the nation Republic Day, is upon us. One thing is for sure, that as Indians, we love two days more than any festival. We dress up in tricolour clothes and wave the flag of India, proudly. We sing our favorite patriotic songs and remember ceremoniously those who lay down their lives to give us this freedom
that we live in.
Swapnil Joshi, an actor who is loved and respected all over the country shares his thought on this specialoccasion. “Republic Day comes as a pleasant reminder of what a great country we live and love. Where 15th August reminds us of the sacrifices and hardwork of freedom fighters, Republic Day instills a sense if responsibility in us to abide by the laws and rules that were set in the new India. Such secular laws that are specially designed for a country of such diversity.”
Giving an insight into his best childhood Republic Day memory, Swapnil says “My best memory of this day is when I got to play a freedom fighter in school and chanted his slogans enthusiastically. I think I was so engrossed in the process of preparing for the part that I took the character way too seriously. I actually felt like a national hero
