With the New Year around the corner, actor Simron Upadhyay took a moment to look back at the recently concluded Christmas celebrations and share what the festive season truly means to her.
“One of my favourite childhood Christmas memories has always been watching Home Alone,” Simron says. “That film feels incredibly special to me because it brings back pure childhood comfort, the excitement of Christmas, the warmth of home, and that feeling of being completely carefree. I love children, so the film connects with me on another level. It is funny, deeply nostalgic, and no matter how many times you watch it, it still feels like a warm hug from the past.”
Speaking about how Christmas unfolded for her this year, Simron shared that it was a quieter celebration, yet meaningful in its own way. “My family wasn’t in town this year, so I started my day watching the Boxing Day Test Match,” she says. “There is something I absolutely love about watching Test cricket during Christmas. It feels calm, familiar, and comforting. After that, I had a few plans lined up with friends, which made the day feel special even without a big family gathering.”
Looking ahead to the coming year, Simron expressed gratitude and hope. “All I truly wish for is good health,” she says. “Apart from that, I am very excited about an opportunity I am currently in talks for next year. I am hopeful, optimistic, and looking forward to what the future holds.”
