The Dangal TV actors share their plan for this Diwali

Pratiksha Rai (Kajal – Nath Zewar Ya Zanjeer)
This year after the pandemic we would be celebrating Diwali. Last year we couldn’t as I lost my father in 2021 he will be missed badly. Like me many other people have lost their loved ones in pandemic and they are stressed and depressed. I have decided that I will end my depression this Diwali and just like Ram Ji won over Ravan I will get over from my depression. Diwali is very special to us. We will perform the Laxmi Pooja, make some sweets and gujiya at home, exchange sweets with our neighbours and lcelebrate this festival lovingly. For me it’s a festival to move on, be happy and celebrate together. I miss the Diwali that we used to celebrate during our childhood. I remember that me and my brother used to play during Diwali We didn’t burst crackers as my dad was against it. He was a big time animal lover and used to love nature. I was not good in making rangoli but whatever I used to make my parents used to appreciate me a lot. This Diwali I am in Mumbai, I have lots of pet so we all would be celebrating together without noise.

Anurag Sharma (Ramesh- Nath Zewar Ya Zanjeer)
I will be celebrating Diwali with my family. Will do Pooja, light the diyas and burst some crackers and eat lots of sweets. Before Diwali we make sure that the house is cleaned so when maa Laxmi graces us she feels nice. Last two years we couldn’t celebrate Diwali properly but this time we all will be celebrating it with full joy. Diwali plays a lot of significance in our lives. In my childhood, I remember that immediately after the Pooja we used to go to the terrace and burst crackers with our friends and had lots of fun, and still the memories are still fresh. This time the celebrations will be different and we will be celebrating much more freely without any fear. I will be in Mumbai and will celebrate with my friends and family members.

Puvika Gupta (Gauri- Nath Zewar Ya Zanjeer)
Diwali for me is a big celebration with family and friends. So I celebrate it with full enthusiasm. We will decorate our home with bright lights and flowers. We wear ethnic attire and eat lots of sweets. Diwali for me is celebrating family time as this is the most important festival of our Hindu culture which our entire family celebrates together. My last Diwali was the most special one as I received a lot of gifts from all of my family members. After pandemic, we are free to meet and greet all so we are planning to invite our family friends to celebrate Diwali with us. This is the first time when I am celebrating Diwali in Mumbai but I am sure it will be again a very Happy one as my whole family will be joining us here on this special festival.

Dhruv Bhandari (Abhay Bharadwaj- Bindiya Sarkar)
This Diwali I will be at home with my family!! I think all the festivals are very important to me. It keeps us close to our roots & Indian culture. On set, we share a good bond, which helps us to have a fun time shooting together in our super hectic schedules.

Aditya Shukla (Naagmani)
This Diwali will be at home only with family as we still miss my good friend Siddharth Shukla. Diwali brings back so many childhood memories and most importantly the family. We get to see a lot of relatives who we’ve not seen for so many months and celebrate it together. It strengthens the bond of the family, Diwali is precious for everyone in India. This time we are pandemic free so this year it will be different. Before acting, I was a Deep Sea Diver so a lot of my Diwali was celebrated away from home on a ship in a different country with different people. So I am really happy that I’m at home this Diwali and not shooting outside Mumbai away from family.

Neha Yadav (Rambha-Naagmani)
Diwali plans are to stay home and celebrate with parents. Diwali has nostalgic values, reminds me of my childhood when everyone used to get together amd celebrate together.

Vaibhavi Hankare- (Mishri -Sindoor ki keemat)
I like spending time with my family and relatives during Diwali holidays because Diwali is the most important festival for our family. We have a diwali night party in which all our relatives join us for dance and dinner followed by lighting firecrackers on our terrace at night. This festival of lights for me, symbolizes the victory of good over evil. It shows there’s light after darkness. I live in Mumbai and I have my family here only so i celebrate with my family and other relatives. My fondest childhood memory about Diwali is that my grandmother used to join me and mom in making gujiyas and other sweets for diwali. We used to wake up early in the morning, visit temples, eat sweets and all my friends used to play together. I do not believe in dieting but eating healthy . And festivals are meant to have sweets and enjoy your time with family by eating good food and spreading sweetness. I love eating kaju katlis, rasgulla, gujiyas and basundi are my favourites. Diwali is meant to be enjoyed so one can keep their diet aside for a while.

Achal Tankwal (Radhe- Nath Zewar Ya Zanjeer)
This time I am visiting my hometown and will definitely have some quality time and lots of fun with my family and friends. As we all know diwali symbolizes the spiritual “victory of light over darkness but for me, it signifies to kill the inner Ravana that we all have in some way and standing together as one family . There are lots of memories.. competing with neighbours who will burn more crackers till the end, Diwali shopping, and Helping Parents With Diwali House Cleaning. Dressing in colorful traditional clothing, lighting inside and outside the home with rows of lamps or other lights, and fireworks and Ganesh-Laxmi Puja.

Shivanshi Das (Aanchal- Mann Sundar)
Diwali is a holiday. I’m excited to be with my family and do laxmi pooja, distribute sweets and go to the temple in the morning, I Don’t burst crackers because I believe in celebrating peaceful Diwali without noise pollution and without harming the animals because they are scared of crackers. Diwali is a very positive festival of lights where we celebrate the victory of Lord Ram. I love lights and decorate my house with lights and diyas. It gives positivity in the house and it’s a festival of positivity and purity and lights. yes I’m excited I’m going to be in Mumbai and not going to my hometown. I want to see how Mumbai celebrates diwali. I’m too excited. I used to wait for the Diwali holidays. In Kolkata they do kali pooja I used to wait for diwali holidays and we used to do pandal hopping as a child we used to only play with phooljadis as a child also I used to always like only phooljhadi and I used to like peaceful diwali, used to light diyas and get dressed up wearing new clothes.

Shivam Khajuria (Nihar Goyal- Mann Sundar)
This year Diwali is on the same date as my birthday, so it’s a double dhamaka for me. I’m going out of town to celebrate with my close ones. Diwali is one of the most important. Festival that I celebrate at home. As I have elder sisters, during Diwali they used to come home and we would celebrate together. Diwali is the best family time for me, eating, playing cards and poojas. I’ll be in goa this time. I certainly hope it won’t be dull like during the pandemic. It’ll be full of lights and decoration and crackers ofcourse(environment friendly). My Fondest would be eating different Indian sweets and doing Lakshmi pooja with family and crackers ofcourse. The 12 star and 15 star crackers specially. I have never been on a diet. I have always been brought up with the concept of eating good home cooked Indian food. Follow it and you never have to go on a diet.
