Entrepreneur Varun Barot, the mastermind behind the wildly popular Holi Splash, has always had a passion for event management. What started as an aspiration soon turned into a full-fledged career, making him one of the most sought-after names in the entertainment industry. “I come from a background deeply rooted in creativity and a love for large-scale entertainment. From an early age, I was drawn to curating experiences that bring people together—whether through music, art, or celebrations. With an entrepreneurial spirit, I ventured into event management to turn this passion into a thriving career,” he shares.
When asked about the key milestones in his journey, he reflects, “My career has been all about pushing the boundaries of entertainment. Some major highlights include launching Hardyboyz, an entertainment powerhouse known for curating high-energy experiences. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with top artists, creating premium nightlife experiences, and executing large-scale music festivals. But the biggest achievement so far has to be Holi Splash Season 6, which broke records with over 24,000 attendees!”
Recounting his journey, he adds, “Event management has always been in my DNA. I stepped into the industry professionally over a decade ago, transitioning from curating private events to conceptualizing large-scale music festivals. The journey has been nothing short of phenomenal. Every event presents a new challenge, but the thrill of seeing people enjoy themselves keeps me going!” Speaking about Holi Splash Season 6, held at Inorbit Mall, Malad, he shares, “This season was all about scale, inclusivity, and next-level entertainment. We began meticulous planning months in advance—focusing on artist lineups, stage design, security measures, and ensuring an inclusive experience for all, including the specially-abled and LGBTQIA+ communities. Collaborating with top sponsors and partners was crucial to executing a seamless event where safety and fun were top priorities. Having legends like Ganesh Acharya, Purva Mantri, and multiple celebrity DJs set the stage on fire was the icing on the cake!”
As for what’s next, Varun has ambitious plans. “The goal is simple—go bigger and better! Hardyboyz is set to expand into larger festivals, premium clubbing experiences, and international entertainment collaborations. Holi Splash will continue to grow as India’s most inclusive Holi celebration, and we have some massive surprises in store for 2026! Stay tuned—because the best is yet to come!”
