Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, along with actors Alaya F and Karan Mehta brought the house down at Mithibai college’s annual fest Kshitij. The crowd witnessed the trailer and the romantic track ‘Banjara’ of the upcoming romance saga ‘Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohobbat’ by Anurag Kashyap.

The fun event was a grand success with Anurag Kashyap, Alaya F and Karan Mehta indulging in a cool banter with a live audience of over 5000 young students. Lead actors Alaya F and Karan chose 3 couples from the crowd and asked them to enact a proposal on stage ! The impromptu camaraderie was evident on stage as audiences witnessed them dancing to the title track for the first time.
Interestingly, going back to college times Anurag also spoke about how Vada Pav, a favourite with youngsters, was his staple diet.

‘Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat’ is a contemporary take on modern-day relationships with much appeal to the youth. Considering Kashyap and Trivedi’s successful music collaborations in the past including Dev D and Manmarziyaan, the vibe set by the ‘Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat’ tracks was nothing short of electric.
‘Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat,’ starring Alaya F and Karan Mehta who marks his debut, was recently presented at Marrakech’s Jemaa El Fna Square this year. The film was screened along with other spectacular films by stalwarts like Guillermo Del Toro, Paul Schrader and James Gray. The film is touted to be Anurag Kashyap’s ode to modern love and is slated to release on 3rd February 2023.
