Sheena Chohan Plays Lilith- a she demon and Adam’s Wife in a Mythological Series Thriller. Sheena Chohan returned to India after 2 months in America, on July 4th after shooting in America and has immediately gone to set to shoot her lead negative role of Lillith – a She Devil. Sheena recently wrapped her Hollywood film Nomad, which equaled the Guinness World Record for the film shot in the most countries, and had her film Amar Prem launch in the official India section at the Cannes Film Festival, but now she’s back in action in India she’s completely focused on her new web series. Lillith is a biblical character – Adam’s first wife, who was banished from the Garden of Eden for not obeying him. She also appears as an evil reflection of the feminine aspect of God. Upon her assertion of equality, she was reclaimed as a symbol of independence.Sheena says: “I’m so impressed with the producers of this web-series – they have gone to great lengths with the make up and special effects – I was attached to a high wire which sprung me out of a car in a highly detailed prosthetic mask, in front of a 30 meter green screen! I have just returned from my Hollwood film, but wow – coming back to Bombay to special effects like this shows me how the Indian film industry is fast catching up with and overtaking the west.” About her character she says: “After I wrapped my historical biopic Sant Tukaram, a 15th century film where I play Avali Bai, I was offered the role of Lillith – so I went from one minute playing the wife of a saint, to the next the daughter of a devil! I had to read a lot of fascinating ancient texts – the story is said to have been removed from the bible, which added so much mystery I was hooked. And then, after all the reading and researching character references, the next thing I knew I was in six hours of make-up and then acrobatic training to be hoisted up fifteen feet in the air like an evil superwoman!” The award-winning international Australian producers behind the supernatural drama, IWIL Productions, under Wilfred Fernandes, just wrapped up shooting the 8 episode series, which uses extensive Green Screen Technology for special effects.
These images, which represents Lillith, was shot by Serge Ramellli, a renowned international photographer with work in over 100 galleries around the world and 7 fine art photography books. He is also making his debut as a lead actor in the soon to be released film - A Parisian in Hollywood. Serge is working on several movie projects as a director and has directed several shorts including ‘Arthur’, which was one of the most watched action shorts on Youtube with over 20 millions views
After five years of theatre in Delhi, Sheena Chohan was launched alongside Malayalam megastar Mammootty in a film by seven time National Award Winner Jayaraj, when played the lead in two films by National Award Winner Buddhadeb Dasgupta and was nominated as Best Actress at the Dubai and Shanghai Film Festivals for her film Ant Story, which was bought by Netflix. Sheena played alongside Madhuri Dixit in the Fame Game and Kajol in The Trial and will next be seen as the lead female role in Aditya Om’s Sant Tukaram, opposite Subodh Bhave. Sheena is the South Asia Ambassador for humanrights.com, where she was awarded the Human Rights Hero Award at the United Nations for spreading awareness of basic rights and equality to over 170 million people. In June 2024, she was awarded the Presidents award in the US, signed by President Biden for her humanitarian work.
