Among the many traditions in her family, Kanya Bhojan, also known as Kanaki, holds a special place. This practice has been observed in her household for generations. Jyoti explained, “Kanya Bhojan, which is also called Kanaki, is performed in my house every year. We conduct the Maha Havan at home, wash the feet of young girls (Kanyas), and offer them a delicious homemade meal of Poori, Chana Sabji, and Halwa. We also present them with gifts. This ritual is a way to express our respect and gratitude for the divine feminine energy that surrounds us. It’s a humbling experience to witness their smiles and receive their blessings in return.”

She shared, “Visiting the Pandals to seek Maa Durga’s blessings is a profoundly spiritual and peaceful experience for me.
