Music director, composer, and artist Kanish Sharma is set to release his upcoming indie single Pal Ye Mera, a song that marks a significant and deeply felt step forward in his creative journey.
Over the years, Kanish has established himself through work across feature films, short films, web content, and more than 200 advertising campaigns, earning recognition for music that blends storytelling, emotional detail, and cinematic scale. While much of his work has been created in service of larger narratives, Pal Ye Mera offers something closer to the center of his own artistic voice.
The song is built around memory, longing, and quiet reflection. It has been envisioned as more than a track, as a space where music and visuals come together to create something intimate, immersive, and genuinely felt.
The project is also rooted in place. Shot across the Jammu region, the video carries an authenticity that gives the song its emotional grounding. To realize its cinematic ambition, Kanish brought a creative team from Mumbai, resulting in a collaboration that balances regional rootedness with high-end execution.
The video is helmed by Raakesh, an award-winning director and cinematographer known for Midnight Delhi, Almari Ka Achaar, and several other notable works. It features Mridul Raj Anand, known for his lead role on Zee TV and his work in feature films, who has also co-written the lyrics alongside Kanish. The cast further includes Aashima Dutta and Satvik Gupta.
