With the passage of time, the entertainment industry has evolved in terms of content, the wide variety that one is exposed to and even when it comes to presentation. It caters to the tastes of the audiences’, who are unpredictable and are always looking out for something more, something new. Sindoor Ki Keemat actor Shehzad Shaikh shares his viewpoint.
“I believe the more variety the more unpredictable the audience becomes, and the better it is for filmmakers and actors and creators as it gives us options to do better and different things. So unpredictability is a great thing for all of us,” he says.
For the actor, Sindoor Ki Keemat has been one of the best things that happened to him. “It is my first show and therefore very special. It’s 350 episodes strong and only growing stronger. I'm very proud of it and very happy to be working on it. My colleagues, producers and everyone is nice. I feel very grateful and happy with the way my career is shaping up as I look ahead to doing more work. I love my job. Period,” he adds.

Apr 4, 2026Whether similar nature of work feels repetitive and monotonous, he reiterates, “I love my job and believe that everything in the world can become monotonous. It's up to you to add something new to it. You can do the same thing in 1000 different ways. As an artist, every day can be a new day. Nothing can ever be monotonous if you're a good artist. If you think that your work is getting monotonous then maybe there's something you need to do about it ourselves or maybe you need a holiday to figure things out.”
We all talk about fitness, and work-life balance. Agreeing, Shehzad adds, “I’m struggling with my fitness because of the extensive long hours that I have to do on a day-to-day basis for a television show. We shoot 26 episodes a month. It's difficult, and my work-life balance is a complete mess because I'm working all the time. I am trying to find a solution.”
There's a difference between dreams and goals. “I dream to be remembered for my projects but my dream is to be one of the greatest of all time. My goal is to win an Oscar before the 100th Academy Awards,” he ends on a note of hope.
