Mumbai, August 2026: ShemarooMe is set to premiere its new Hindi thriller Missing Mahila, taking audiences into a world of marriage, secrets, suspicion and deception. Starring Mitra Gadhvi and Esha Kansara, the series premieres 27 August 2026 exclusively on ShemarooMe.
Set against the familiar yet unpredictable world of relationships, the series explores how quickly trust can turn into doubt when the person closest to you begins to feel like a stranger. At the heart of the story is a man who believes he has found the perfect bride through an unconventional marriage arrangement. But what begins as a seemingly simple search for companionship soon takes a mysterious turn. As the relationship begins to unravel, he finds himself confronted with questions he never imagined having to ask about the woman he has married.
Blending suspense, mystery and relationship drama, Missing Mahila explores the dangerous space between trust and deception, where appearances can be misleading and the people closest to us may hold the biggest secrets. The series stars Mitra Gadhvi, Esha Kansara, Nakshraaj, Hitesh Thaker, Rahul Raval, Jagjeetsinh Vadher and Dhairya Thakkar, and is directed by Vishal Vada Vala.

Aug 26, 2026Talking about being part of Missing Mahila, Esha Kansara said, “What I liked about my character Sonal was that there is more to her than what you initially see, and discovering those layers while playing her was interesting. For me, the most exciting part was being able to play within that uncertainty and not reveal too much too soon. There was something very interesting about playing a character whose story cannot be understood at first glance. With Missing Mahila, I had to constantly think about what the character was revealing and what she was keeping to herself. That made the process quite exciting because even a simple moment could have another meaning. I think audiences will enjoy watching the story unfold.”
Mitra Gadhvi said, “I love stories that make you second-guess what you've just seen, and Missing Mahila has that quality. There are moments that seem very straightforward until something happens that changes the way you look at them. As an actor, it was exciting to work within that space because you are always conscious of what the audience knows and what they don't. I think that is what makes a thriller engaging, when you can watch it twice and notice something you missed the first time. Bhavesh's journey is especially interesting because he isn't chasing a mystery at the beginning, the mystery comes into his life unexpectedly.”
