Mumbai: Actress and PETA model Rozlyn Khan celebrated Holi this year in her own way while observing Ramadan. Traditionally Rozlyn does not play Holi, but this year she chose to embrace the spirit of the festival through reflection, observation, and enjoying the joy around her.
She says, “I may not throw colours or join the crowds but that does not mean I cannot celebrate life. Happiness, laughter, and smiles do not need anyone's permission. I will not apologise for feeling joy in my own way. Just because I honour my faith does not mean I have to miss out on life.”
Rozlyn adds, “People love to judge what they do not understand. They say faith and celebration cannot mix. I say why should anyone else decide how I experience life? I will feel joy, I will smile, and I will watch the world come alive around me. Festivals are meant for hearts not for rules or judgements.”
