Sagar Kapoor, who recently made his OTT debut with Watcho Exclusives series ‘Flash,’ discussed how OTT has created more opportunities for actors. He believes this shift is transforming the industry.
Sharing his take on the rise of OTT, Sagar shared, 'I definitely believe that OTT platforms are the best thing to happen for all the young aspiring actors who may have struggled to find work previously. Now, they're doing so well, and I'm very happy to see that.”
“OTT has opened up a lot of opportunities, allowing us to see such talented actors who might not get the chance to shine in movies. There's so much talent in the industry, and I'm glad to see them getting their moment,” he added.

When asked about his personal experience shooting for the series, Sagar shared, “I have been a part of TV before, and while I did enjoy it to some extent, I feel more suited to movies and OTT platforms. The main drawback I find with TV is that as an actor, you don't get much time to explore your character. You often receive the script just 15-20 minutes before the shot, and I don't like that. I need time to prepare for my character, which you get in movies and OTT platforms.
“While shooting for Watcho Exclusives ‘Flash,’ I would receive the script a day prior, which allowed me time to prepare, and I really appreciated that. I wouldn't mind doing TV again, but the role would have to excite and challenge me. Otherwise, I don't think I am meant for daily soap operas.” he added.
