International Women’s Day occurs globally on the 8th March every year in honour of the amazing women who campaigned for women’s rights and those who continue to do so today. Actress Nikita Rawal sheds light on why she thinks it's important for such a day to exist.
She says, "In a society, where women have been oppressed since ages, there should be a day to remind everyone that women exist and they exist with much power. International Women's Day is an important day for us to focus on the many inequalities, gender bias, discrimination and stereotyping that exists in society today.” the actress opined.
Importantly, this International Women's Day 2023 theme will also explore how to protect the rights of women and girls in digital spaces and how to combat online gender-based violence.
