Harleen Sethi, the talented actress, has taken a significant step to connect with her Punjabi roots for her upcoming Netflix show, Kohrra. In a heartwarming gesture, Harleen decided to get inked with Gurmukhi script, an ode to her character Nimrat and her Punjabi heritage.
In a video shared by Harleen, she expressed her journey of embracing her Punjabi roots. As a Mumbai-born individual, she admitted to running away from her Punjabi identity during her childhood. However, Kohrra became a catalyst for her to reconnect with her roots. After a workshop for the show, she approached Sudip Sir, presumably the director or a mentor, to seek permission to get the phrase 'Nirbhau Nirvair' engraved in Gurmukhi script on her hand.
Harleen's decision to get the tattoo symbolizes her acceptance of her Punjabi identity and her desire for it to become a permanent part of her. She wrote a heartfelt note expressing her transformation and her pride in her heritage. She acknowledged that she is now proud of who she is and where she comes from, and she intends to start from her roots and carry them forward throughout her life.
