Sun Neo's popular show Chhathi Maiyya Ki Bitiya has been winning hearts with its emotional storyline and relatable characters. Among the standout performances is Maitri Bhanushali, who portrays the lively and inspiring character of Tina. Recently, Maitri shared her heartfelt journey, highlighting how her mother played a crucial role in shaping her passion for dance and acting.
Recalling her childhood dreams, Maitri says, “Since childhood, I’ve always dreamed of achieving something big, and it all started with my mom. When I was just three years old, I would dance after watching Madhuri Dixit. My mom noticed how well I danced at such a young age, so she enrolled me in Kathak classes. But we soon realized that I wasn’t truly interested in Kathak. My mom paid attention to all the little things I loved and made sure I explored them. She helped me try everything I liked, including acting, even though I didn’t know at the time that I was passionate about it. It was my mom who noticed my interest in acting and encouraged me to follow it.”
The Chhathi Maiyya Ki Bitiya actress further adds, “I worked in the industry as a child artist for about four years around 2012–2013, but I had to take a break to focus on my studies. Education was important, so I stepped away from acting for a while. However, I never stopped dancing. I even participated in a dance reality show, and now I’m a professional lyrical hip-hop dancer. Dance has always been my passion, and my mom saw that in me. She recognized that hip-hop was my true calling and encouraged me to pursue it. Today, I teach and continue to learn hip-hop professionally.”
