Sidharth Malhotra is set to reprise his patriotic role in the upcoming Netflix spy-thriller film Mission Majnu. Also starring Rashmika Mandanna, the period film is directed by Shantanu Bagchi and is based on actual events from the 1970s. The film's premise revolves around Sidharth Malhotra going undercover for a dangerous job across the border.
The new teaser video opens with Sidharth Malhotra portraying an undercover spy. The video shows how his love for Nation makes him "Desh Ka Majnu." He says,"Is farz ko poora karne ke liye mai kisi bhi sarhad ke paar jaa sakta hu”. The teaser also shows how Sidharth's character can go to any extent to support his patriotic duties despite knowing it may cost him his life. He further adds, "Desh ki hifazat ke liye mujhe aisi har saza manzoor hai."

Ronnie Screwvala has produced the film under RSVP Movies, and Amar Butala and Garima Mehta under Guilty By Association (GBA). The film is set for January 20, 2023, release on Netflix.
