Mumbai: Actor Arhaan Khan, known for his work in MTV Fanaah, Badho Bahu, Srivalli and Bigg Boss 13, says his interest in acting began at an early age. Long before he faced the camera, he was fascinated by cinema and television and the world of storytelling.
Reflecting on his journey, Arhaan says the challenges he faced in his initial years played an equally important role in shaping him as an actor and helping him understand the industry.
Talking about what first drew him towards acting, Arhaan said, “Acting was something I was always drawn towards, even as a kid. I was fascinated by the whole world of cinema and television, the way a character could completely transform you, the way a story could connect with people, and the energy that comes with being on a set.

For Arhaan, acting was never simply about fame or being in the spotlight. It was also a way to challenge himself and discover different sides of his personality. He said, “For me, acting was always about finding that space where I could challenge myself, explore different sides of my personality and, hopefully, create characters that people remember.
However, stepping into the industry also meant dealing with competition and uncertainty. Arhaan believes finding one's own identity is among the biggest challenges for any newcomer. “When you enter this industry, one of the biggest challenges is finding your own space and proving that you truly belong there. There are a lot of people who are talented and hardworking, so you have to constantly work on yourself and be patient,” he said.

Aug 31, 2026His initial experience in modelling and print campaigns gave him an opportunity to understand the basics of facing the camera and presenting himself. “Starting with modelling and print campaign shoots, I had to learn everything step by step, how to face the camera, how to present yourself, how to understand your strengths and, more importantly, how to improve your weaknesses,” he shared.
His transition to television further strengthened those learnings. Recalling his experience of working on Badho Bahu, Arhaan said, “Television also taught me a lot. Working on a show like Badho Bahu gave me the experience of working under pressure, understanding the rhythm of a set and becoming more disciplined as an actor.
Looking back at his early years, Arhaan believes the struggles were an essential part of his growth. For him, the journey is as much about staying grounded as it is about constantly improving. “I think the early part of any actor's journey is about learning how to stay grounded while continuously pushing yourself. You may not get everything you want immediately, but every experience adds something to you,” he concluded.
